1. Scott Sio Strong start early in the scrum and stood up in the early contacts. Solid end to the campaign. 7/10

2. Stephen Moore As diligent as ever. Left the field with blood dripping down the snout in the second half. 6

3. Sekope Kepu Penalised for a marginal late hit on Dan Carter. Aggressive but costly on the scoreboard 6

4. Kane Douglas Fell horribly on his knee and his night ended very early. A huge loss 3

5. Rob Simmons Didn't control the line-out to his usual standards. Subdued elsewhere 5

6. Scott Fardy Hard as a very hard nail right to the end. Stuck to his task and never stopped trying. 7

7. Michael Hooper Well held in attack but defended stoutly and never stopped trying. 6

8. David Pocock Bloodied and beaten only on the scoreboard. Immense again. 8

9. Will Genia Some early errors but steadied the ship. Couldn't find any room to run. 6

10. Bernard Foley Zero opportunity early but threatened with some ball and space. In-game kicking a little patchy. 6.5

11. Drew Mitchell Carried strongly but blotted the card with a few late fumbles after taking a head knock 6.5

12. Matt Giteau Left the field in the first half after failing a concussion test. A terrible blow for the Australians 4

13. Tevita Kuridrani Scored the try that put the Wallabies back in the game. Came to life late 7

14. Adam Ashley-Cooper Never doubt his courage. A go-to ball runner no matter the moment. Good again 7

15. Israel Folau Was smashed early but recovered to finish a tough tournament on a decent note 6

Reserves

16. Tatafu Polota-Nau Helped get his side going forward with some big charges off the bench 6.5

17. James Slipper Liked his energy around the park when the Wallabies needed fresh legs 6

18. Greg Holmes On late in the fray and the set piece never lacks for his inclusion 6

19. Dean Mumm In much earlier than he thought. Worked hard but battled to bend the line 6.5

20. Ben McCalman Ripped in when given his chance after replacing Fardy 6.5

21. Nick Phipps Rode it out to the line but the ABs were three lengths clear by that point 5

22. Matt Toomua Solid as usual and was there when the comeback was starting to surface 5
