- There were 20,189 new COVID-19 cases and at least 14 deaths (a figure that does not include WA’s numbers) recorded nationally in the latest reporting period. There are about 4,150 people being treated for the virus in hospital and 140 people in intensive care (excluding WA figures).
- Greens Senator Lidia Thorpe has responded to the controversy surrounding her swearing in, at which she referred to the Queen as a coloniser.
