Goldilocks

Where there's a will, there's a laneway, and in true Melbourne style, you'll find Goldilocks down a cobbled lane around the back of a car park. It's a large, stripped-back, canteen-style cafe with polished concrete floors and vintage bowling pins on the walls. Breakfast includes the usual suspects, but egg dishes get a refreshing shake-up with a 62.5-degree sous-vide eggs benedict with brown-butter hollandaise, or the super-stylish crumbed poached eggs with ribboned asparagus and miso puree. Lunch is wrap and toastie territory with a handful of hot dishes - soup, calamari, lamb and mushroom pie - rounding it out.
