TWO Darwin soldiers have faced court charged with a string of sex, drugs and weapons offences.
A spokesman for the Australian Defence Force confirmed the two men were arrested on Tuesday “in connection with serious criminal allegations”.
“Defence can confirm that on 2 March 2021, two Darwin-based soldiers were arrested in connection with serious criminal allegations, including an offence relating to a firearm,” the spokesman said.

“The weapon involved in the investigation is not a Defence weapon.
“Both members were remanded in custody and will appear in Darwin Local Court.
“As this matter is currently under police investigation, all inquiries should be directed to Northern Territory Police.”
Channel 9 reported the two men are aged 19 and 20 with the former facing 13 charges, including supplying MDMA to a child, raping a child under the age of 16, indecent dealing and firearms offences.
The 20-year-old is charged with supplying MDMA to a child and sexual intercourse with an adult without consent.

The pair will return to court next month.
