POLICE have apprehended three youths following a violent brawl that erupted in the carpark of a Palmerston shopping centre and was caught on video.

An NT Police spokeswoman said officers responded to a disturbance outside Woolworths in Bakewell about 12.30pm on Thursday and apprehended two youths at the scene.

“The three males, aged 14, 15 and 18, allegedly assaulted two males during the disturbance,” she said.

“The victims suffered minor injuries. Police inquiries are continuing and it is expected the alleged offenders in this matter will be charged with various offences.”

A female witness, who did not want to be named, captured the violent brawl on video.

“It was pretty hectic,” she said.

“I saw a kid inside yelling at a lady with a baby in her hand and then she started pushing her trolley to where you buy your smokes from.

“Then that kid went outside where a bunch of other kids were and started hitting one of the boys. Then all of them jumped in and started bashing each other.”
