A TEENAGER has been charged with allegedly stealing money from the till of a takeaway restaurant through the drive-through window.

A TEENAGER has been charged with allegedly stealing money from the till of a takeaway restaurant through the drive-through window.

According to NT Police, four youths walked through the Macdonald’s drive through on foot before a 16-year-old allegedly opened the payment window and stole the float from the register.

Police arrived and saw four kids running from the scene. Two kids, aged 11 and 13, were apprehended with “a large amount of money” in their possession which was seized by police.

A 16-year-old was charged a short time later with stealing, trespass and damage to property.

He will face court at a later date.

A summons will be served on the other three alleged offenders.
