Strike Force Trident Officer in Charge Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said officers were unable to determine the gender of the two people involved as their faces were covered by masks.
He said he understood how frustrating the senseless crime was for the victims and that police were out trying to piece together evidence.
“It makes us more determined now than ever to try and apprehend these criminals,” he said.
He asked anyone with information to contact them.
He also called for the public to keep an eye out for a blue 2020 KIA Seltos that would likely have damage to it.
