Police ‘will catch up with’ a man today who fled his car overnight following a pursuit through Palmerston and into the rural area, leaving behind a quantity of cash, drugs and drug paraphernalia.

POLICE “will catch up with” a man today who fled his car overnight following a pursuit through Palmerston and into the rural area.
At 10pm last night police spotted a vehicle travelling at a high speed in the Palmerston area and attempted to apprehend the vehicle.

NT Police Northern Watch Commander Senior Sergeant Sonia Kennon said the driver of the vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit began.

“The pursuit came to an end in the rural area with the driver fleeing from the vehicle,” Sen Sgt Kennon said.
“A search of the vehicle located a quantity of cash, drugs and drug paraphernalia.”

She said the driver was unable to be located at the time, however police have information as to his identification and “will catch up with” him today.
