A PALMERSTON man who pleaded guilty to downloading almost 12,000 child abuse images and videos over the past decade is set to face sentencing in June.
Robert Andrew Rowe, aged 49 at the time of the offending, appeared in the Supreme Court on Wednesday after being charged with three counts of possessing or controlling child abuse material, as well as using a carriage service to access child pornography and abuse material.
Rowe pleaded guilty to the charges last October following a raid on his house in Farrar on February 28, 2020.
The court heard Rowe allegedly downloaded 11,944 child abuse files, some of which featured children as young as three, between 2011 and 2019.
His matters have been adjourned until June 23 for sentencing.
