UPDATE 10.40am: Northern Territory Police have charged two men in relation to an alleged aggravated robbery in The Gap, Alice Springs on Wednesday morning.
A 20-year-old man was charged with one count each of aggravated robbery, trespassing and stealing, while an 18-year-old man was charged with one count each of aggravated robbery, tresspassing, stealing, possessing a controlled weapon, possessing cannabis in a public place and possessing a thing to administer a dangerous drug.
Both were remanded and will appear before Alice Springs Local Court today.

Following a series of break-ins in The Gap between 1am and 2.30am, when several houses in the vicinity of Brookes St, Achilpa St and Kraegen St were broken into and one resident was allegedly struck, police said it was possible “the same offenders were responsible for several unlawful entries in the area”, but were still calling for public information.
Detective Acting Sergeant Andrew Nicholson said police continue to appeal for any further information in relation to a number of other property related offences committed in the area around the same time.
“If you have information, CCTV or dash cam footage, contact police on 131 444 and quote reference 9730715.”
EARLIER: THE house of an off-duty police officer was one of a number of properties that were targeted in a series of alleged break-ins in an Alice Springs suburb in the early hours of yesterday morning.
NT Police are calling for information in relation to a series of break-ins in The Gap between 1am and 2.30am, when several houses in the vicinity of Brookes St, Achilpa St and Kraegen St were broken into.
They report shortly after 1am, one resident – a police officer who was off-duty – confronted two intruders in his backyard.
The offenders then escaped over the fence to a neighbouring property, but not before one of them allegedly struck the man.
He sustained a minor injury that did not require medical treatment.
NT Police Detective Acting Sergeant Andrew Nicholson said the police investigation into the spate of break-ins was continuing.
“The offenders have not yet been identified and inquiries are continuing,” he said.
“It is possible the same offenders were responsible for several unlawful entries in the area overnight.”
Police are urging anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage in the area in the early hours of Wednesday morning to contact them on 131 444 and quote reference number 9730715.
