EIGHT separate COVID-19 infringement notices were handed out by NT police on Thursday for people blatantly breaching their 14-day quarantines, with some attending house parties.
NT Police issued an infringement notice to a 32-year old woman who escaped from mandatory hotel quarantine in Darwin on Thursday night.
The woman arrived on a flight from Adelaide on Tuesday was required to remain in a hotel for 14 days.
When police later located the woman, she was fined $1099 and returned to her hotel.

In Alice Springs, a 22-year-old man in Araluen also breached quarantine by leaving his house to register his new car at the MVR.
He had recently returned to the NT by road from South Australia on March 29.
A further six people were issued with infringement notices relating to mass-gatherings on Thursday night.
Police attended multiple residences in Tennant Creek, after receiving reports of large gatherings at homes.
Upon arrival at the residences, they seized a large quantity of alcohol and dispersed the groups.
The infringement notices were issued to five primary occupants of the properties.
In Jabiru police also received reports of a large gathering of 20 people at about 9pm.
Upon arrival police told the group to disperse and a 63-year-old woman became aggressive and refused to leave the location.
She was issued with a fine for not abiding by the Chief Health Officer’s Directions.

NT Police, Public and Environmental Health officers and Australian Defence Force continue to undertake quarantine compliance checks to ensure people are completing their 14 days quarantine.
Physical distance monitoring and enforcing the public gathering limit of 10 persons also continues.
Police said Territorians were strongly advised to observe the two-person limit where possible.
The key message to all Territorians is to “Stay home, if you can”, NT police said in a statement.
