POLICE will crack down on anti-social behaviour across Darwin city after crime statistics revealed a spike in crime against the person.
Anti-social behaviour, alcohol-related harm and liquor licensing compliance will be the focus of the three day Operation Exstrom, which begins today.
Acting Commander Tony Deutrom said they would be working with a range of agencies to tackle the issue including Larrakia Nation, Licensing NT, Department of Housing and Mission Australia.
“We’ve identified that anti-social behaviour has a significant detrimental impact on local business and the community, we’re focused on improving social amenity,” A/Cdr Deutrom said.

He said they would be working to assist people from remote communities who wished to go home, to do so.
He said once the operation was over they would review their practises to see how they could improve.
