A 27-YEAR-old man has been charged over an alleged assault which left another man with serious injuries in Katherine on Tuesday.
NT Police allege the two men were fighting in the Katherine CBD when the man was seriously injured just after midnight Tuesday.

As a result of injuries received during the incident, a 33-year-old man was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital by CareFlight.

The 27-year-old was charged with unlawfully cause serious harm and aggravated assault.
He was remanded in custody to appear in Katherine Local Court later today.
