A 54-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter in relation to the death of a man at Darwin River Saturday night.
Police allege the man was involved in several physical altercations with a 53-year-old man before a final assault which left the victim unresponsive.
The two men are known to each other.
Despite emergency services attending the scene and performing CPR the man died at the scene.

The area was declared a crime scene last night.
Detectives late yesterday charged the man with one count of manslaughter.
He has been refused police bail and will be remanded in custody to appear before Darwin Local Court on a date yet to be determined.
