POLICE are investigating after a man threw a rock through one of the main doors of the Darwin Local Court on Wednesday night.
A spokesman for the Local Court said the incident was captured by closed-circuit television cameras in the early hours of Thursday morning.
“A man appears to have thrown a rock through one of the main doors at the NT Local Court in Darwin,” he said.
“The incident was picked up by the court’s CCTV cameras and the footage will be provided to police.
“Contractors are onsite to repair the damage and there are not expected to be any delays or impacts on those attending the Darwin Local Court today.”
An NT Police spokesman said investigators were aware of the incident.
“Between 1.45am and 3am this morning the Darwin Local Court window was damaged,” he said.
“Police investigations are continuing.”
