A GOOD Samaritan has dobbed in a gang of grog and drug smugglers after stumbling across their stash in Adelaide River.
Police say the man found alcohol and a bag containing 224g of cannabis in a garden bed next to a petrol station on Saturday at about lunchtime and called police.
While he was on the phone, a green LandCruiser pulled up and its occupants allegedly demanded the bag back until they were told the cops were on the way and fled the scene.
Police seized the alcohol and drugs along with boarding passes containing the offenders’ names. They later pulled them over on the Stuart Hwy north of Katherine.
