POLICE have arrested a man for drink driving after he was caught doing burnouts on Mitchell Street in Darwin city overnight.
Just before 1am, police received reports of a 4WD ute fishtailing and doing burnouts on Mitchell St.
Police stopped the 45-year-old male driver and breath tested him.
Police allege je returned a medium-range blood alcohol reading of 0.144 and was also found to be unlicensed.

The man remains in the police watch house and will be charged later this morning.
