A DRINK driver has been charged after he was found asleep at the wheel, with his car stationary at traffic lights.
Northern Watch Commander Siiri Tennosaar said police were informed of the man’s stationary car in the middle of the road by another road user.
“A 24-year-old male has been arrested for drink driving after being found asleep at the wheel on Tiger Brennan Drive this morning,” she said.

“Another motorist noticed the vehicle stationary at the Berrimah Road traffic lights and notified police at around 3am.”
Snr Sgt Tennosaar said upon finding the man police gave him a breath test.
“The male returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.108 per cent,” she said.
“He was issued a notice to appear in court at a later date.”
