POLICE are calling for witnesses after a man threatened a staff member in a cafe with a knife in Brinkin last night.
At around 8pm, the man reported entered a closed cafeteria and tried to steal from the register. Two staff member confronted the offender before he threatened one of them with an ‘edged weapon”.
The offender is described as caucasian, 170cm tall, wearing a green baseball cap, yellow shirt with green and white stripes, maroon shorts and running shoes.
Anyone who was in the vicinity of Ellengowan Drive last night and may have witnessed the incident is urged to contact police on 131 444 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
