A Yongnu Elders leadership group has called for the work permit of taxi driver Fadhil Al Khazali to be revoked, the ABC reports.
The group says Mr Al Khazali, who is a partner in a Nhulunbuy taxi business, is no longer welcome to work on Aboriginal land in East Arnhem land.

Nhulunbuy police are also pushing for Mr Al Khazali’s taxi licence to be revoked.
Mr Al Khazali, 54, and his son Ali Al Khazali, 25, faced the Darwin Local Court on Monday and each pleaded guilty to one count of contravening an emergency declaration and making a false declaration.
The court heard the pair “intentionally deceived authorities” by flying to Darwin from Sydney – which was a declared COVID-19 hotspot – via Canberra and lied on their NT border entry forms about having been in Sydney.

They were arrested in Nhulunbuy and taken to quarantine in Howard Springs.
They were each given a two month suspended jail sentence on Monday.
