One half of a set of Palmerston twins accused of running a small drug empire out of a suburban home has pleaded guilty to supplying commercial quantities of MDMA, ketamine and LSD.
Thomas Manning, 22, also pleaded guilty to possessing or receiving $275,760 from the commission of an offence after the cash was discovered during a March 7 raid on the Driver home he shared with his twin brother Harry Manning.
The Supreme Court on Monday heard that despite Thomas Manning’s guilty pleas, the facts of the case were not entirely confirmed.
“The facts are not settled, and I’ll explain why … at this stage I’m unaware of the involvement of the twin brother,” Crown prosecutor Ian Rowbottam said.
Mr Rowbottam said details such as how much cash Thomas Manning received from the drug operation could still change.
“As an example the amount may change a very small amount – about $3400,” he said.
“But there is also some further information to come and be incorporated in the facts in relation to the incident; first of all an amount of cryptocurrency that was (allegedly) found by police, and second of all the contents of the record interview.”
Mr Rowbottam told the court the Crown had requested “significant materials” from the police.
Thomas Manning will return to court next month for submissions on sentencing.
Harry Manning, who was also charged with supplying a commercial quantity of drugs, will face the Darwin Local Court on Wednesday for a preliminary examination mention.
