A 51-YEAR-OLD man was pronounced dead at the scene after crashing his motorcycle on a rural Central Australian road on Sunday morning.
About 9.25am, Police were notified of a crash where a rider had come off his bike near Maryvale Rd, about 20km from the Stuart Hwy but unfortunately could not be revived.
St John NT operations manager Craig Garraway said bystanders who witnessed the incident did what they could in an attempt to bring the rider back.
“(Bystanders) they’ve tried to resuscitate the rider but unfortunately, attempts were all in vain,” Mr Garraway told ABC Darwin.
The Major Crash Investigation Unit established a crime scene and investigated the incident throughout the day on Sunday.
