A currently serving police officer has been arrested on allegations he breached a domestic violence order and attempted to coerce a witness.
NT Police on Friday afternoon said the 38-year-old man was currently on suspended duty due to an ongoing court case against him.
The officer has been charged with one count each of breaching a Domestic Violence Order and attempt to pervert the course of justice.
He was arrested on Friday morning and taken to the Palmerston Watch House.
The officer was bailed to appear in the Darwin Local Court on October 21.
