Man confirmed dead after Knuckey Street blocked by NT Police

A man has been confirmed dead after police blocked access to Knuckey Street in the Darwin CBD after a serious medical incident on Wednesday evening.

UPDATED, 7.30AM: It has been confirmed a man has died following a serious medical incident in Darwin’s CBD on Wednesday.

About 5.30pm on Wednesday, NT Police were seen cordoning off a section of Knuckey St between Wood and Litchfield streets.

A man received medical care but was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is understood the incident may be related to mental health.

Wednesday, 21 May, 6PM: Northern Territory Police have blocked access to a major Darwin inner-city street after a serious medical incident.

A NT News reporter at the scene says police have cordoned off the section between Wood and Litchfield streets, right in front of Mantra Pandanas and Luma Luma Holiday Apartments due to the medical incident.

It is understood a man is receiving medical treatment at the scene.

Motorists and pedestrians are urged to avoid the area.
