Alleged crepe attacker’s conspiracy claims

An ex-real estate agent accused of slapping a cream crepe into the former chief minister’s face has alleged she is a victim of a vast conspiracy in a bizarre spray outside of court.

This week, Suzanne Lee Milgate stood outside of Darwin Local Court and claimed the government was behind an elaborate plot to “take out my entire business”.

Alongside her criminal aggravated assault charge against former Chief Minister Natasha Fyles, the former Cullen Bay real estate agent has faced the NT Civil and Administrative Tribunal over issues with her licence and disputes over $17,000 in rent and bond payments.

Ms Milgate is contesting the aggravated assault charge.

She acknowledged to NTCAT in February she had let her licence expire, only paying renewal fees after it expired.

Ms Milgate has also accumulated more than $18,000 in fines from the Agents Licensing Board following multiple complaints, including a finding she threatened to evict a young woman and call the cops after discovering she had an OnlyFans account.

Milagate advertised her “boutique” real estate business for $250,000 on Seek Business in February, however the notice is no longer online.

Yet outside court on Monday, Ms Milgate claimed there was a government plot “to take out my entire business”.

“They’ve targeted me individually and it’s an attack straight from Natasha Fyles,” Milgate said.

“She’s taken out my entire business, because of her bruised ego.”

Getting increasingly breathless as she started to walk away from journalists, Ms Milgate made comments about the independent Licencing Board, the Department of Licencing and Trade, Consumer Affairs and the Real Estate Institute of Northern Territory.

“Their heads are going to roll,” Ms Milgate said.

The outburst came after Darwin Local Court Judge Tanya Fong Lim dismissed Ms Milgate’s attempt to delay her July hearing by another three months.

Ms Milgate has repeatedly asked for adjournments in order to seek legal representation, but on Monday she asked for a delay due to a “doctor’s referral”.

Milgate said she was seeking professional medical advice from a psychiatrist about a condition, which outside the court she clarified was from “all the stress”.

“This condition clearly prevents me from representing myself,” she told Ms Fong Lim.

“I believe that a medical report will establish that I’m also unable to provide informed instruction to any legal representative – should I be fortunate enough to find him.”

Ms Fong Lim set down a two-week deadline for Ms Milgate to file an affidavit with a letter from her psychiatrist confirming she had requested a report.

For now, Ms Milgate’s hearing is still set for July 9.

Ms Fyles was contacted for comment, but declined as it relates to an ongoing court matter.
