Alice Springs Police have taken down the Incredible Hulk, with one Marvel superfan’s car seized for 48 hours for alleged dangerous driving.
Nothing stops the Incredible Hulk, but NT Police have confirmed they were able to put the brakes on a car covered in the superhero’s image.
Acting Senior Sergeant Rob Kent said a 34-year-old woman was charged with unlicensed, dangerous driving in the Hulk-mobile.
Sergeant Kent alleged the silver Holden Commodore was spotted by Police CCTV operators driving dangerously at the intersection of Gregory Terrace and Bath St at 9.45pm, Thursday.
“There were pedestrians in the area at the time of the (alleged) incident and the actions of this driver placed them at risk of serious injuries,” he said.
Two hours later Operation Drina officers tracked down the superhero car at an Alice Springs service station.
“Attending members were disappointed it wasn’t the Grinch stencilled on the side of the vehicle,” Sergeant Kent said.
Sergeant Kent said the car was impounded for 48-hours, while the 34-year-old woman was issued a notice to appear for driving unlicensed.
Sergeant Kent said Operation Drina would continue to target offending and anti-social behaviour in the Alice Springs CBD until early February.
