A second man has been charged after an 18-year-old was allegedly murdered in Palmerston

Police have arrested and charged a second man after an 18-year-old died on a driveway in Palmerston.

A second man has been charged with murder after a teenager’s body was found on a Palmerston driveway on the weekend.

The 17-year-old man has been charged after it was alleged he murdered an 18-year-old between midnight and 6.15am on Saturday.

The victim’s body was discovered outside a Driver residence near the corner of Waterhouse Crescent and Driver Avenue.

Police were called around 6.15am and a crime scene was declared.

The 17-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday by detectives from Strike Force Trident and the Dog Operations Unit.

The youth, who cannot be named, appeared in a Darwin court on Wednesday.

No bail application was made.

He was remanded in custody until December 12, when he will reappear in court.

He becomes the second man to be charged in relation to the death on Saturday.

Detectives from the Major Crime Squad are continuing investigations into the case and request anyone with information to contact police on 131 444.
