A 19-year-old woman has become the first person to die on Northern Territory roads in 2023.
NT Police said she was the sole occupant of the car when it rolled near Adelaide River on Sunday.
They said the incident occurred about 12.20pm on a stretch of the Stuart Highway 10km north of the township.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area on Sunday afternoon.
The road toll at the same time last year was 3.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
