ANSETT’s Fred Williams is expecting playoff level intensity when his side faces off against the only other Darwin basketball unbeaten side Tracy Village Jets tonight.
Both sides have seen off tricky oppositions in recent weeks but have ultimately survived the opening five rounds of the 2020 Championship unscathed.
Last week Ansett came from behind to see off a strong Palmerston Power outfit that was leading at half-time, though star import Williams believes his side can be even stronger.

“We’re always happy to get the win but didn’t feel we had played our best game against Palmerston,” Williams told the NT News.
“It’s been the story of our season so far that we have slower starts but excellent second halves and that is something we want to work on from now.
“There was a bit of a scuffle which saw a few guys ejected but nobody has had a tribunal so far and everyone is able to play.”
Next up is Jets who stormed to a 116-76 win over Essington Cannons last week and with their own premier player Jerron Jamerson aboard they’re looking to keep firing on all cylinders.
Too counter Williams’ former Razzle teammate Ansett will be looking to their big men in Shane Breheny and smart point guard Matty Hunt to outmuscle the younger Jets.
“Everyone is really looking forward to it as they always are when you have two juggernaughts running at eachother,” Williams said.
“Having played with Jerron for many years it will be interesting to face him and we expect the whole side to play as hard as they do every week.
“We have to minimize their three-point shooting and slow down Jerron when he’s on the ball. But we mainly want to play our game and try to stick to that.”
