IT’S the best time of year to be a Darwin-based cricket fan with two BBL sides set to join in on the TIO Strike League T20 action.
And those sides will be bringing plenty of firepower in both their batting and bowling ranks.
The NT News looks at some of the biggest names making the trip to Darwin that our Territory talent will have to contend with.

GLENN MAXWELL
There’s few bigger names in Australian cricket than the big hitting Glenn Maxwell who has done it all both domestically and internationally.
Known for his big hits that has gained him plenty of attention in both the IPL and the BBL Maxwell will be looking to excite in the Top End.
His arrival in Darwin is sure to turn heads and his wicket will be the prized possession of all bowlers over the series.

NATHAN COULTER-NILE
The Stars aren’t just bringing a premier batsman but a premier international bowler to boot in the form of Coulter-Nile.
The bowling all-rounder has impressed Australian cricket fans since he made his third-grade debut for Fremantle District Cricket Club as a 16-year-old.
Since then he has gone from strength to strength appearing in IPL, BBL and international sides proving himself with both the bat and bowl.
CAMERON BOYCE
Boyce has long been one of the premier leg spin bowlers in the BBL and one with a hint of international experience to back it up.
The Queenslander now pliess his trade with the Renegades and will be hoping to catch more than a few bats napping.
An exciting bowler with plenty to give and part of a dynamic attack that will be looking to take the competition on.
JOSH LALOR
The Renegades BBL paceman has represented several BBL clubs and has built a name for himself over the years for his destructive bowling.
Another veteran that will be playing in red that is sure to play a crucial role throughout the series leading the young up and comers in the side.
Other Renegades names making an appearance include Mackenzie Harvey, Jake Fraser-McGurk and Zak Evans.
SEB GOTCH
The wicket-keeper batsman has proven he can handle himself across the formats but will be looking to prove himself in the Stars outfit coming to Darwin.
His most impressive set of innings came in the 2019-20 Sheffield Shield season where he scored back to back centuries for Victoria.
And he won’t be along with other BBL players Nick Larkin, Tom O’Connell and Clint Hinchcliffe all also looking to secure their position within the Stars unit.
