Former sporting glamour couple Nick Kyrgios and Ajla Tomljanovic had a very public split in 2017, but the Aussie tennis players are united once more.

Tennis stars and former lovers Nick Kyrgios and Ajla Tomljanovic will represent Australia at the inaugural United Cup — with a chance the pair could be thrown into the same mixed doubles partnership.
The former sporting glamour couple were an item between 2015 and 2017, until hot-headed Kyrgios was seen leaving a London nightclub with two women, and Tomljanovic unfollowed him on Instagram the next day.
Tomljanovic is currently single after splitting with Italian player Matteo Berrettini, whom she began dating in 2019.
Even if they aren’t thrown into the same match, the United Cup will see Tomljanovic, Australia’s top-ranked female player, and Wimbeldon runner-up Kyrgios reuniting on court for team Australia — they will sit on the court bench together for the entirety of the United Cup whenever Australia plays.
There are eight players on the Aussie team, and they will compete in a range of singles and mixed doubles matches.
The uncomfortable pairing comes at a difficult time for Kyrgios, who is facing court on allegations he assaulted another ex-girlfriend, Chiara Passari, in Canberra last December.
He is attempting to have the common assault charge, which carries a maximum jail sentence of two years, dismissed on mental health grounds.
The 27-year-old will next appear in the ACT Magistrates Court in February.
Tomljanovic said it was “quite disappointing” that she was asked about him when she fronted the press after her quarter-final defeat to Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina in July.
“I’m not really aware of exactly what’s being said about whatever his past relationship and the allegations. I don’t know what it is,” she said.
“It’s been a while since our relationship ended. Obviously I’ve always kept my relationship very private. I would like to keep it like that.
“I’m definitely against domestic violence. I hope it gets resolved.
But, yeah, I mean, I haven’t had that experience with him.”
Kyrgios is now happily partnered with Costeen Hatzi, a 21-year-old Sydney influencer.
The loved-up pair went public in December 2021, and share plenty of their relationship online.
They both have each other’s initials on their Instagram bios, and document their couple photos with soppy monologues.
“My life has honestly never been the same since I’ve met you,” the tennis star wrote recently.
“I love you and you are my best friend.”
