Sydney Sixers coach Greg Shipperd confirmed as coach of NT Strike in Chamber NT Top End Series
SYDNEY Sixers championship-winning coach Greg Shipperd has been confirmed as the incoming coach of the NT Strike side set to compete in the Chamber NT Top End Series.

SYDNEY Sixers championship-winning coach Greg Shipperd has been confirmed as the incoming coach of the NT Strike side set to compete in the Chamber NT Top End Series.
Shipperd brings plenty of coaching experience, having mentored the Sixers to Big Bash League titles in BBL09 and BBL10.
Previously, he was the inaugural coach of both the Melbourne Stars and the then-Delhi Daredevils in the IPL.
The Chamber NT Top End Series sees representative cricket return to the Territory in a big way, as the NT Strike sets out to make Territorians proud as they battle it out against a CA XI team set to feature Australia’s best young players.

The three match series will be played as a 50-over format with game one to be held at the iconic Gardens Oval on August 1, followed by two day-night fixtures at DXC Arena on August 4 and August 8.
Shipperd was thrilled to be heading to Darwin to work with the diverse group of players and coaches in the Top End.
“I am thrilled to join the Cricket 365 program and I’m looking forward playing a part in furthering the developing of the players and coaches,” Shipperd said.
“I applaud the team at NT Cricket for the strategy being implemented to play elite cricket year-round, with a focus on helping young players from right across the country to progress their game.
“Hopefully I can share with coaches and players some of the knowledge I have accumulated over my time in the Australian Cricket system.
“NT Cricket are fast becoming recognised for their innovative initiatives, including opening the door for Cricket 365 to become a permanent fixture in the Australian Cricket development pathway.”
NT Cricket CEO Joel Morrison said the benefits of appointing Shipperd as coach would extend beyond the playing group.

“Greg is one of the most experienced and successful coaches in the game and his involvement in Cricket 365 will be significant boost the development of our local players and coaches.
