THE race for the Women’s Premier League’s Holy Grail continued on Saturday when the top four sides all recorded confidence boosting wins.

Runaway ladder leaders PINT held fifth-placed Nightcliff goalless for three quarters before consigning the Tigers to a 55-point defeat.

It was Rick Nolan’s 12th successive win in his first season as coach as the Queenants look to close a door on a premiership drought the green and gold striped jumpers are desperate to end.

Hillary Grubb, Jasmyn Hewett in the ruck and Casey Morris were best for the flag favourites.

The Darwin Buffettes got maximum value from Ashanti Bush when the Barunga star booted seven goals in her side’s 151-point win over bottom side Tracy Village.

The Buffettes stay third despite the big win, but with winnable games against Waratah and Palmerston to come, the light blue jumpers are set for a big charge at the flag.

St Mary’s pounced on the Palmerston Magpies to retain second place, Shailyn Peris starring at centre half-back in her side’s 41-point win.

J’Noemi Anderson’s second game in senior company again showed the youngster’s class as she gathered numerous possessions in an on-ball role.

And Southern Districts played one short against Wanderers but still hunted down the Eagles by 17 points in their game in Saturday night’s game at TIO Stadium No.2.

Rhiannon Busch played one of her best games for the Crocodiles in their 6.7 (43) to 4.2 (26) win that kept them a game outside third spot and the double chance.

Districts won’t play for another three weeks with a Round 14 bye and the representative game meaning the Round 15 game against St Mary’s is their next outing.
