PARRAMATTA Eels star half Mitchell Moses and his side are pumped up ahead of a home encounter in the Top End against a potentially fired up Brisbane Broncos outfit.
Last week the third placed Eels ended a 15-year curse in Canberra with Moses playing a key role in the 35-10 win over the Raiders kicking five goals and one field goal.
And another performance of that calibre is what they’re after against the Broncos in front of a Darwin crowd.
Moses was particularly excited to kick off at TIO Stadium where the Eels have a solid support base.
“There’s plenty of excitement ahead of this game, it’s always a good trip to Darwin and we’ve had a bit of success up there,” Moses told the NT News.

“It’s good having Darwin as a home game. We have a really good support base up there and they really get behind us and lift us in crucial moments.
“These games 100 per cent help grow the game in the NT particularly if you get some young kids come down and watch to see what it’s all about.
“We’re coming off a good win against Raiders where we came in with a good attitude and if we can do that again it should set us up.
“We will need to bring that same attitude here as we’ve come off good wins before and not always managed to back up the week after.”
Moses produced a kicking masterclass in the win over Raiders forcing errors and pinning Canberra’s back three deep in their own territory.
But he places a lot of credit in the platform provided by his forward pack with the likes of Reed Mahoney, Junior Paulo, Shaun Lane and Isaiah Papali’i all standing out against the Raiders.
“Our forwards have been outstanding this season and have certainly made my job a lot easier,” Moses said.
“It’s the whole pack laying that foundation and taking the pressure making it easier for us backs to our jobs and score tries.
“We’re just taking it game by game at the moment but we if we continue to play as we did on against Raiders we can put ourselves in a good position.”

Though Moses expects a solid contest from a Broncos side that he believes played one of their best games in a long time in a 20-12 losing effort to ladder leaders Penrith Panthers.
The Brisbane outfit has a duo of young halves in Tom Dearden and Brodie Croft who Moses is looking forward to facing off against on Friday.
“The Broncos are going to be fired up coming into this after being a bit unlucky last week,” Moses said.
“They played some good footy showing plenty of aggression and went to toe to toe with a really good Penrith side.
“We’re going to need to start fast against them and match that aggression to get the upper hand while bringing the right attitude.”
