PARRAMATTA coach Brad Arthur hopes his side can put on a big show in its Darwin home NRL game in what could well be a thriller against the Broncos at TIO Stadium on Friday night.
The Eels have had the better of the rivalry in recent years, most recently in Round 1 where they beat the Broncos 24-16 at Suncorp Stadium.
And with both sides putting in impressive showings last week the upcoming match from 7.25pm at a packed TIO Stadium promises to be a thriller.

“We have a good support up here, a good following and we’re looking forward to it,” Arthur said.
“The heat may play a role though the conditions will effect both teams and our forwards are reasonably fit so I don’t think it will be a problem for us.
“Anzac weekend is a big one, we’re privileged that we get to play a sport that we love and we’re hoping to put on a good show with both sides gathering good support.
“For us that will mean looking to just play our normal game which is fast, high tempo footy while keeping the ball in play.”
The Eels’ arrival in Darwin may have been somewhat marred after a public toilet sex tape scandal allegedly involving one of their players became public.
But Arthur and his men were eager to put the matter behind them with their focus solely on the game ahead.
“The club has handled it and put out a statement and that is all we need to worry about,” Arthur said.
“It’s been handled, we just need to move on and the boys are keen to focus on the game ahead.”
Eels’ second row Shaun Lane said his squad were looking forward to another game in Darwin, a place Parramatta has enjoyed success and support in recent times.
The Eels, with halback Mitchell Moses starring, pulled apart Canberra 35-10 last week and, based on recent results they will be seen as the favourites for this Round 7 clash.
But Lane emphasised the importance of approaching the game with the right attitude against a Broncos side on the up.
“Our team is a pretty tight-knit group that enjoys getting away and a trip like this helps build morale around the group,” Lane said.
“Every week is an opportunity to play your best footy and we performed well in Canberra and moving on now it’s just about doing what we can with a good attitude.

“Broncos played with a lot of intent last week so we know they’re going to be right in the contest early having that motivation off that good performance so we won’t be in for an easy night.
“We can’t turn up with a poor attitude, we have to go out there with the right attitude and expect them to be at their best.”
