Danika Mason’s relationship with NRL player Liam Knight appears to be going from strength to strength as the footy season wraps up.
The rugby league world is turning its attention to the off-season after Penrith clinched a historic fourth consecutive premiership, defeating Melbourne 14-6 in Sunday’s grand final.

Mason was a key part of Channel 9’s coverage team for the decider, and the network’s NRL coverage throughout the season, and now she’s off to take a well-earned break.
The popular host was spotted with Knight at Sydney Airport on Monday as they prepared to jet off on an overseas holiday.
The couple couldn’t wipe the smiles of their face, with Mason grinning ear to ear as they walked through the airport together.
Mason also shared an Instagram story of her sliding up the barrier between their seats on the plane, joking: “Surely they’ll let me change seats.”
It comes after Mason and Knight made their relationship Instagram official in recent months.
The new relationship became the talk of rugby league after Mason split with fiance Todd Liubinskas in 2023 and called off their wedding, just weeks before they were set to get married.
The exact reason for the couple’s split remains unclear and became a topic of much speculation among footy and media insiders.
Mason, 33, was first seen “cuddling up” to Knight, 29, on a date at The Butler restaurant in Sydney’s Potts Point in February.
A fellow diner told Daily Mail Australia the pair were cuddling up to each other during the date in full view of onlookers.
“Her demeanour was that of a relaxed woman enjoying a pre-season fling with a younger specimen; his was that of a deer in headlights,” the diner said.
They have since made their relationship public, sharing plenty of happy snaps over the course of the year.
Knight prop posted a picture of himself with Mason to social media in July with the caption: “My life is good”.
It appears the relationship is getting serious, with Mason also attending the Bulldogs’ end of season awards night with Knight last month.
Knight is an NRL journeyman having been granted a release from the Rabbitohs to join the Bulldogs late in the 2023 season.
He has played 83 NRL matches across short stints at the Sea Eagles, Raiders, Rabbitohs and now the Bulldogs.
The 29-year-old prop played two first grade games for the Bulldogs this season.
Knight paid tribute to the Bulldogs after his NRL contract wasn’t renewed beyond this season.
“I want to say a huge thank you to all of the Bulldogs faithful for welcoming me from day one,” he wrote on Instagram last month.
“I loved every minute of being apart of this great club. The year didn’t go as planned for me but I was grateful to be able to be apart of a special year with this group.
“A big thank you to all of the players and coaches who made my time here so enjoyable, I love you all.
“I look forward to watching the future success that this club will have from afar.”
Mason was a consummate professional throughout Channel 9’s broadcast of the 2023 NRL Grand Final alongside legends including Andrew Johns and Billy Slater, and was seen regularly smiling and laughing at comments made by the rest of the panel.
She was also seen starring on the network’s coverage of the Australian Open tennis tournament in January.
That came after reports that she’d been contacted by a third party and asked to hand her engagement ring back to ex-partner Liubinskas.
Meanwhile, Liubinskas appears to have completely moved on, going public with his new partner, sex book author Helen Chik.
The rugby league action isn’t done for the year, with the Pacific Championships kicking off later this month.
Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga announced his new look squad on Monday, with both State of Origin captains dropped and a shock bolter named.
The Kangaroos take on Tonga in their first Pacific Championships game on Friday October 18.
