NIGHTCLIFF’S dual Nichols medal winner Brodie Filo and Tiwi ball magnet Fletcher Carroll tied to top the stats in Round 10 of the 2020-21 NTFL season with both players taking 28 disposals.
It was only a matter of time before the Tiger’s two-time premiership player found his way to the top of the stats and he achieved that with a haul of 28 disposals, including 22 kicks and six handballs.
The display from the elite midfielder from Bendigo in central Victoria helped see Nightcliff return from a final quarter deficit to draw 11.13 (79) to 12.7 (79) against Wanderers.

But the Tiger isn’t alone on the stats throne after Round 10 with the ever-consistent Carroll from Tiwi Bombers who racked up 18 kicks and 10 handballs.
Carroll has been no stranger to the stats top five through the first 10 rounds of the 2020-21 season and continues still impressed in a losing effort against Palmerston where he also managed eight marks.
Darwin Buffaloes’ Max Kennedy was next off the ranks with a 27 touch game with 15 being from kicks and 12 handballs.
Though his efforts weren’t enough to put his side ahead of a vengeful St Mary’s squad who won 13.15 (93) to 9.10 (64) with usual high performer Nate Paredes taking 26 disposals, 23 kicks and three handballs.
And matching Paredes was Muk Muk midfielder Dane McFarlane from Werribee who took 17 kicks and nine handballs.
Interestingly Paredes and McFarlane are tied in total disposals with 231 from the whole season both having played every game.

Also of note is Saints dominance over the Buffaloes with the Green Machine making it in the inside 50 more in all but the final quarter, with accuracy doing them favours in the final period.
