The hunt is officially underway for the next NT Sportsperson of the Year.
Nominations have officially opened for the 2025 NT Sports Awards with every athlete and sport adjacent person able to enter.
Minister for People, Sport and Culture Jinson Charls said the awards are the perfect way to recognise and highlight the achievements of those in the sports fraternity.
“The NT Sports Awards not only celebrate the outstanding talent and commitment within our sports community but also serve to inspire the next generation of Territory athletes,” Mr Charls said.
From Olympians and Commonwealth Games alum to local sports heroes, the awards also shine a light on those behind the scenes.
“Sport is an important part of our great Territory lifestyle, playing a critical role in keeping Territorians connected,” Mr Charls said.
“It unites us through shared experience and creates strong communities, and that’s why it’s important to also recognise the accomplishments and hard work of Territorians off the field who coach, volunteer, officiate and support our clubs and organisations.”
