Thousands of motor racing fans are set to descend on Hidden Valley this Friday and Saturday for the Northern Territory Speedway Titles.

A precursor ahead of the famous Chariots of Thunder the following weekend, Northline Speedway will play host to some big names and even bigger cash prizes.

Current Australian Sprintcar champion Lachlan McHugh will be among the big names competing for the NT Title alongside interstate big-guns Matt Egel and Tate Frost as they go head-to-head in the 23-strong field.

Local Jordyn Charge will also be in the mix after four consecutive wins in Darwin and the local duo of Hayden Brown and Chris Harrison will be back in the pack after a series of engine issues.

“Hayden Brown experienced engine failure two rounds ago, forcing his team to the sidelines as they only had one motor,” Northline Speedway’s Jason McIver said.

“Fortunately, they have now secured a new motor, allowing them to compete in the remaining rounds of the season.”

“Chris Harrison faced two engine failures, with both motors being transported back and forth between Darwin and NSW to ensure he could continue racing.

“Despite these challenges, Chris has been in remarkable form, competing fiercely with Trent Pigdon from WA and Jordan Charge in the last round’s feature race.”

Elsewhere, Matt Sealy looks to be the man to beat in the Wingless, atop the points table following a string of consistent performances while Jason Davis and Jamie McInnes will do their best to chase him down.
