Fields can’t wait to play for Rooch

THE late Alex Aurrichio’s best mate Tom Fields says playing in the Northern Territory will complete his football journey with “a very special person”. Fields has told the NT News he cannot wait to pull on a Waratah jumper in memory of the big American ruckman when the Warriors take on Palmerston in Round 1 of the 2020-21 NTFL season at Gardens Oval on October 2.

Katherine South captain is OK

KATHERINE SOUTH captain Michael Joshua is expected to play in next weekend’s Big Rivers Football League preliminary final after being cleared of any spinal injuries.Medical staff and league officials feared Joshua, the Souths captain, had been seriously injured when accidentally kneed in the back of the head in Saturday night’s second semi-final against Katherine Camels.

Brodie Carroll fit after freak injury

But in good news for Tahs fans, the talented utility is playing good football for Katherine Camels and is ready to go for what will be an emotional season opener against Palmerston on October 2.

Rooch’s mate to play at Waratah

MUCH loved late ruckman Alex Aurrichio’s best mate Tom Fields will fly to Darwin to play in what will be an emotional NTFL season opener under lights for Waratah against Palmerston on October 2. And Warriors coach Ryan Ayres confirmed plenty of interest from Katherine Camels stars for this season, including former NAB League player Josh Carlin.
