THE opening round of the 2021-22 NTFL season threw up plenty of exciting footy action and suprising results.
And all the indivdual and team stats are here for you to enjoy.
Waratah showed they will once more be a force to be reckoned with after pulling off a significant win over the Palmerston Magpies.
Buffaloes notched the win over Tiwi but it was the Bombers who finished with all the running at Gardens Oval.
ROUND 1 NTFL STATS

WANDERERS VS SOUTHERN DISTRICTS
NIGHTCLIFF TIGERS VS ST MARY’S
At TIO Stadium Wanderers and Southern Districts played a tight game that went back and forth for both sides until the Muk Muks burst the game open.
And St Mary’s got the better of the reigning premiers Nightcliff Tigers in the grand final rematch.

Wanderers vs Districts at TIO Stadium
Tigers vs St Mary’s at TIO Stadium
The Tigers will look to bounce back from the loss next week when they return to their home ground of the Darwin Mazda Nightcliff Oval.
There they will face a Waratah side fresh off a hefty 18.15 (123) to 8.3 (51) round 1 win over the Palmerston Magpies.
As a result the Magpies will also be looking to right the ship in round 2 when they face off another side looking for their opening win of the season the Tiwi Bombers at Cazalys Oval on Saturday.
Also playing on the Saturday is St Mary’s who face Wanderers at Tracy Village.
And on the Sunday the Darwin Buffaloes will take on a fired up Southern Districts side at Cazalys Oval.
