An early pacesetter has emerged in the 19/U division at the National Netball Championships as teams returned to take on two games each on Friday. Watch REPLAYS of every match.

Queensland has asserted itself as the early frontrunner in the 19/U division at the National Netball Championships following a double delivery of strong victories on Friday.

With teams returning for two games each on day two of the tournament in Sydney, the Maroons took down both a strong Western Australia side and reigning champions New South Wales.

Queensland was down by a goal at half-time against WA before a strong second half on the back of shooter Tia Crombie (21 goals) ensured a 26-22 victory.

The Maroons then backed it up with a 31-26 defeat of hosts NSW to close out the day.

SA shooter Samaya Oakley had a huge game against Tasmania in the Reds’ 42-17 victory, recording 36 of her side’s scores.

Victoria, WA, SA and the ACT all hold 2-1 win-loss records in 19/U.

In the 17/U division, Victoria and SA both continued their strong starts to the championships with two wins each.

The Vics cruised past WA and NSW but the Reds had it a bit tougher, edging past NSW by five goals before a convincing 42-23 defeat of WA.

Two contenders to the 17/U crown will meet in what shapes as a huge clash on day 2 of the 2025 National Netball Championships in Sydney.

After both Western Australia and Victoria produced very different but equally impressive wins on Thursday, the two states will meet in a massive matchup on Friday.

Set to be one of 16 matches streamed live and exclusive on KommunityTV, the two will do battle from 10.45am on Show Court.

Western Australia will head into the contest following a hard-fought 37-33 win over Queensland in round 1 while Victoria’s confidence will be at an all-time high after a massive 68-2 win over the Northern Territory.

Round 1 19/U winners New South Wales and Victoria will also meet in a potential finals preview matchup with both sides walking away with fairly comfortable wins on Thursday.

Every match of the National Netball Championships will be exclusively live streamed on KommunityTV from April 10-16.

The coverage is part of a three-year deal between KommunityTV and Netball Australia to exclusively live stream all games from the annual tournament.
