Wildcats goal shooter Georgia Lindsay finished with 27 goals and Siana Matavalea added 11.
The Ipswich Jets have packed too much firepower for the Carina Tigers as they squared their win-loss ratio with a 68-48 thumping.
Superstar goal shooter Coco Smith was in superb touch with 36 goals and Naomi Solomona not far behind with 21 points as they Jets were always in control of the contest.
The super effective Sarah Harris was another to stand out at wing attack.
Charlie Preston chimed in with 28 goals for the Tigers but they just couldn’t stick with their more experienced opponents.
The defeat sent the winless Tigers to the bottom of the table, while the Jets jumped up a couple of rungs to sneak into the top four on percentage.

“Facing a team with SSN training partners and SSN reserves players was a significant challenge, but our competitiveness and resilience shone through.

Hope made the move to the Wildcats this season following three consecutive Ruby Series premierships with the Carina Tigers.
“Facing the Cougars is going to be a significant challenge as they are known for their strong performances and have a history of producing top-tier players.
“That includes their SSN training partners, SSN reserves and their coaches who are the best in the business.

“Every player has a crucial role to play, and it’s our collective effort that will make the difference but with that being said, Demi Burgess, who lines up in our defence team, can read the game and make crucial interceptions,” Hope said.

“Georgia Lindsay with her agility and sharp two point shooting was a game-changer in Round one.”
