A four-goal haul to young gun Polly Conway has inspired Williamstown CYMS to an incredible shock win over VAFA Women’s perennial heavyweights St Kevins.

Williamstown had their home crowd in raptures as they sent shockwaves through the VAFA community with a status-defying win over St Kevins.

The last-placed CYMS put St Kevin’s to the sword on their way to an 11.4 (72) to 3.4 (22), handing last year’s grand finalists their second loss of the season.

While Conway impressed up front, it was North Melbourne academy prospect Jacinta Eteuati who caught the eye of sideline judges.

On her Premier Women’s debut, the teenager put the highly-experienced St Kevin’s forwards in lockdown in the forward 50m zone.

Williamstown played like a machine on the field, with all their pieces moving in the same direction and at the same pace while the communication lines on the St Kevin’s side of the ball capitulated.

St Kevin’s made no such mistakes in the Premier Reserves clash earlier in the day, with impressive forward Sarah Cameron inspiring the side to a 7.11 (53) to 4.4 (28) win.
