PINT stamped down their authority against a hapless Wanderers outfit in Round 13, and further strengthened their push towards a first ever finals spot
Following the Greenants meritorious triumph last round, they added to a growing realisation that a top three finish was a possibility with an 18.13 (121) to 1.4 (10) triumph.
The Greenants kicked into gear from the first bounce with Connor Mcdonald dominating the ruck and providing an armchair ride for hard working midfielders Sam Kalbfell, Elliot Chalmers and Nathan Nolan.

And within moment they had reward for their efforts as Harry McKimmie kicked two goals within the opening four minutes.
The under undersized Eagle defence suffered an early blow when inspirational skipper Mitchel Taylor was forced from the field with a hip injury.
And while there was a strong determination to fill the void by Braedon McLean, Zac Pethybridge and Nathan Arbon, they were eventually overwhelmed by taller opponents Matt Ryan and Jacob Moloney.
Four goals four behinds in the second was again not a true measure of the PINT supremacy, but they again held the Muk Muk’s goalless thanks to a defence that was impassable.
Muk Muks’ coach Aaron Motlop threw himself into the contest in his first Premier League match in three seasons, but it wasn’t until late in the third that his side registered a goal through Simon Bates.
The Eagles again failed to score a six-pointer in the last while PINT boasted a total of 10 goal kickers which displayed a sharing of the load that clearly pleased the strong contingent of supporters.
Greenant coach Shannon Motlop was concerned about the way his team rallied in the last half last week against Waratah and said they were keen to reverse that trend and play four quarters.
“We didn’t know what to expect today so unlike last week we were determined to play four quarters and I was happy with that aspect of the game,” Motlop said.
“Obviously, Wanderers are struggling a bit at the moment, but you still have to get the job done and you need to do it well no matter who you play.
“Our percentage is not up with some of the others and two big losses early in the season didn’t help so today will go a long way toward improving that. We are getting enough wins to push for top three so we will just keep going about our business. We are only one game out of top spot and many of the others still have a bye round while we don’t.”
The coach had special praise for his ruckman.
“Connor (Mcdonald) was terrific again today. He has been great all year and is in our awards most weeks - he plays like another midfielder,” added Motlop.

Preview
PINT can further their ambitions of a first-ever NTFL finals campaign if they beat Wanderers in what promises to be an exciting encounter at Tracy Village Oval.
And the NT News and KommunityTV will be there to stream every minute of the game from 4pm on Saturday.
PINT moved one step closer to a finals appearance last week when they came back against the odds to beat reigning premiers Waratah.
The result left them level pegging with Districts and Waratah in fifth, and two wins ahead of Buffaloes, who loom as the major threat to tip them out.
Against Waratah, it wasn’t until the tail end of the third quarter when they scored a goal, but they likely won’t have to wait so long to get a major this weekend.
Steven Motlop has been in terrific form whether in the midfield or backline, while the likes of Liam Holt Fitz and skipper Matt Ryan will be hoping to do some real damage in front of goal.
Meanwhile, Wanderers failed to fire up against Nightcliff, who posted 100-plus points on them coming out of the Christmas break.
There is still life in this Muk Muks side who have just two wins to their name this season, but they will be relying on the likes of Jaxon East and Nathan Arbon to find it.
Otherwise, they will be hoping the Greenants don’t post a big score against them.
Full replays of the match will be posted here following the end of the game.
The NT News and AFL Northern Territory have come together in a partnership to live stream both the men’s and women’s Premier League games for this TIO NTFL season.
