PROLIFIC try-scorer Latoniya Norris was honoured to receive the Gaynor Magg’s medal following a massive season with the undefeated Darwin Sistaz.
With 21 tries to her name in 2020 Norris was a scoring threat all season running from centre.
The Sistaz have been brimming with success this year with players such as Norris and captain Bianca Scrymgour coming to the side from Sharks and making an instant impact.
Norris was also awarded the top point scorer trophy following her side’s grand final victory over Palmerston Raiders, in which she scored three tries.

Taking opportunities in attack whenever the ball has come her way helped secure success for her side all season and ensured their unbeaten premiership winning run.
“It’s a great feeling to be awarded the medal and I appreciate all the support I’ve received,” Norris told the NT News.
“It’s been a great year for the team and going undefeated just shows how much all the girls have got around each other and fit in well with one another.
“The feeling around the club the past few weeks has been amazing and it’s great to have been a part of that.
“I’ve got a few tries this year but the girls on the team help me get the ball a lot and I make the most of that.
“It’s a big honour to get the Gaynor Maggs medal. I know this medal means a lot to people in the NRL NT and I’m always honoured when I receive big awards like this.”
