And so he jumped on the chance to make a written nomination for Buffs in the AAMI Clanger Clash which awarded $10 for every clanger in rounds 10 and 11.
Hedge tries to get up to Darwin four times a season to qualify for finals and has ambitions to play A-grade for the club once he finishes schooling.
“My dream is to get drafted and help build Buffs a club house so I’ve always wanted to make a donation,” Hedge said.
“I love the Buffaloes because my dad won a premiership there and I want to follow in his footsteps because of all the good times he had playing for the club.
“It’s a family based club, it’s not the richest but it has been around for 100 years and there aren’t many clubs in the country that are like that.
“When I graduate I plan to go up there for six months and play A-grade and hopefully that helps me get noticed.”
