THE Darwin Brothers and Sistaz will take to the field in a pink strip this weekend to help raise money for breast cancer research.

“Our club and the whole community in Darwin has lost people to horrible disease,” Adams said.

“We started this a few years ago with a few sponsors onboard to help raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer NT. The players are all proud to support and wear these jerseys.

“Whatever we raise would be us doing our bit for the community.”

The jerseys will feature in Brothers match against old rivals Nightcliff Dragons at TRL Stadium on Saturday with the match expected to be hotly contested.

Brothers have managed an uptick in results in recent weeks with wins over Palmerston and Sharks but face another challenge when they take on top side Nightcliff.

The women’s game featuring Sistaz will be the main game on Saturday kicking off at 7pm and will be the first televised women’s game of 2021.

It will be one where the Sistaz will look to be fired up for after losing consecutive games.

“It will be a tough game in the A-grade. Nightcliff are a big mobile side but if our boys are on their game they will give the top side a push,” Adams said.

“Unfortunately the ladies have lost a couple through injury. But we expect them to regroup and come out firing in what they know will be the main game. They always give their all.”
