SuperCoach 2016: Top scores, winning team from Round 7, 2016
THE time has come to ask the unthinkable SuperCoach question: Should we trade Gary Ablett? Plus this week’s top scores and market watch.

GARY Ablett has slipped to mere mortal status in SuperCoach and has players asking what has until now been an unthinkable question: Should we trade the great man?
Ablett is averaging 112 points a game — incredibly, his worst numbers since 2006.
In the past month the picture is even bleaker, with an average of just 95 over his past three games topped off by an 82 against Melbourne on Saturday night. It could have been a lot worse — he had just nine at quarter-time.
His stats weren’t terrible — 22 disposals at 82 per cent efficiency, eight contested possessions, four clearances, five inside-50s and two goals, both in the final quarter.
Spare a thought for the more than 19,000 SuperCoaches who had Ablett as captain. In a sign of his on-field struggles, that is just half the figure who put the “C” on the little master in Round 1.
He has a lot on his plate, battling ongoing injury problems and upset fans.
And now something unprecedented (barring injury) has happened: Ablett has entered the top 10 most traded out players list (at No.9; Sydney’s Callum Mills is top of the list).
His price has dropped four weeks in a row — he is now $60,000 cheaper than Round 1 and he has to score 152 against GWS to avoid another big drop. Amazingly you could trade him to Brownlow medallist Matt Priddis and come away with $35,000 change.
But it would cost you a vital trade with no guarantee the replacement will be any better (Priddis hasn’t scored above 90 for a month). And if anyone can go on a spree of 130-plus scores, it’s Gazza. For what it’s worth, he averages 165 in his past three against the Giants.
Will you hit the trade button? If the answer is yes, you’re braver than us.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: MAX GAWN
Gawn was the top-ranked player for the round after amassing 174 SuperCoach points against the Suns, a season-high haul and his second score about 170. He recorded 46 hitouts from 86 ruck contests attended, of which 21 went to the direct advantage of a teammate. He finished with 17 disposals, 13 contested possessions, six clearances and 2.3 from 86 per cent game time.
CHAMPION DATA MARKET WATCH
Patrick Cripps
Cripps enjoyed an $18,100 price rise after scoring a season-high 127 SuperCoach points against Collingwood. As always, it was his work in the clinches that shone, recording game-highs of 19 contested possessions and nine clearances to go with his 25 disposals. He didn’t hit the scoreboard with a goal, but did record two score assists.
Josh Kennedy
Kennedy was one of several Swans midfielders to dominate against Essendon, racking up a season-high 125 SuperCoach points. He finished with game-highs of 40 disposals, 16 contested possessions and 11 clearances, of which four were directly from centre bounces. He also had one score assist and was involved in 11 scoring chains.
YOUNG GUN: DARCY MACPHERSON
MacPherson was one of the Suns’ better performers in the heavy defeat to the Demons, finishing with 77 SuperCoach points in his AFL debut. He booted the opening goal of the game and finished with 10 disposals, nine tackles, four score involvements and one score assist from 78 per cent game time.
PERFECT 9
The jackpot is up to $60,000 this week after no one picked the top SuperCoach scorer in every game of Round 7. Two entrants picked five — a great effort considering just 17 people picked Anthony Miles to top-score on Friday night and 12 nominated Isaac Heeney against Essendon.
