Chayce Jones (FWD $271,500)

Impressive in last start – 18 disposals, four clearances, two goals and 86 points in Round 23 last year – and has big SANFL and junior numbers behind him. Rates highly with greater midfield role. Get on.

Rory Sloane (MID $559,300)

Underwhelming 2019 by his standards, yet the 29-year-old still posted 14 SuperCoach tons. There’s plenty of value here given he’s capable of far better than 103-point average suggests.

Matt Crouch (MID $563,000)

Inconsistent year typified by the final three rounds, which resulted in scores of 161, 56 and 134. Should improve and is still a genuine threat.

Rory Laird (DEF $525,800)

Durable 26-year-old has missed just two games in the past three years and finished 2019 as the fourth-ranked defender in the game. Is capable of better after posting just eight SuperCoach tons (after 13 in 2018) last season.

Ned McHenry (MID $123,900)

Tenacious runner comes right into SuperCoach calculations with a new-look Crows side. Having a terrific preparation and is primed for a Round 1 debut.

Brad Crouch (MID $534,100)

Put fitness concerns behind him to play 22 games and average 98 SuperCoach points last year. Rates highly again, despite lacking the class of the top runners in the field.

Tom Doedee (DEF $273,700)

Resuming from ACL injury and he may need the outing but there’s plenty of value here, given the 82-point average of his debut season in 2018. Consider.

Reilly O’Brien (RUCK $517,400)

Big surprise from 2019, making the No. 1 ruck role his own and posting six SuperCoach tons along the way. Averaged 116 points between Rounds 12 and 19 and looks likely to improve again after just 20 career games.

Wayne Milera (DEF, MID $402,500)

A big SuperCoach disappointment in 2019 with his averaging falling from 80 to 74. Appears to suit the Crows’ midfield needs, however, and he remains a threat here given the price.

Brodie Smith (DEF $481,300)

Averaged 97 points per game, following move further up the ground, from Round 16 onwards last season but others might have stronger claims at the price.

Billy Frampton (FWD $165,400)

Posted scores of 175, 167, 145 and 141 in the SANFL last season and is a likely Round 1 starter as a pinch-hitting ruckman.

Fischer McAsey (DEF $184,800)

The setback for Kyle Hartigan could open the door for the Crows’ top draft pick – or second-year defender Jordan Butts – to prove he is ready. The 18-year-old’s ball-use and flexibility will appeal. Keep in mind.

Ben Keays (FWD $266,100)

Averaged 22 disposals, three tackle and three goals per game in the NEAFL last year and is a chance for an early-season start as a role player. Do not dismiss.

Darcy Fogarty (FWD $283,500)

The young forward can figure, as five-goal performance in Round 21 last year suggests, but others look to have stronger SuperCoach claims.

Tom Lynch (FWD $459,900)

Can feature prominently on his day, as six scores of 95 or more last season suggests, but is more of a SuperCoach Draft chance in 2020.

Paul Seedsman (DEF $392,700)

Coming off an impressive finish to 2019, posting scores of 140 and 95 in the final two games. Is better than 72-point average suggests but he’s hard to recommend in the classic format.

Bryce Gibbs (MID $375,100)

Is capable of better than 69-point average of 2019 but he’s hard to trust, even in defined role across half-back.

Tyson Stengle (FWD $202,000)

The 21-year-old is likely to get first chance at the vacant forward-line role left by Eddie Betts but others have stronger claims at the price in SuperCoach.

Taylor Walker (FWD $365,600)

Just one SuperCoach ton for the former skipper in 2019 and, while he might improve this year, he no longer figures prominently in SupeCoach.

Jake Kelly (DEF $406,300)

Established defender is likely to start and finish in the middle of the SuperCoach pack. Look elsewhere.

Luke Brown (DEF $369,300)

Not for SuperCoach in 2020, despite 116-point performance in Round 18 last year.

Daniel Talia (DEF $377,700)

One of Adelaide’s first picked but it’s a different story in SuperCoach. Ignore.

MAKING THEIR CASE

Second-year defender Jordan Butts (DEF $123,900) is close after impressive year in the SANFL, while the experienced group of Rory Atkins (MID $410,000), Kyle Hartigan (DEF $239,200), David Mackay (DEF, MID $361,100), Riley Knight (FWD $344,300) and Ben Crocker (FWD $152,000) all have Round 1 claims, depending on coach Matthew Nicks’ want for youth.

Jordan Gallucci (FWD $269,900) and Myles Poholke (FWD $221,600) need big years, while Lachie Sholl (DEF $123,900) and Shane McAdam (FWD $123,900) will also be looking for a senior spot.
